About us

Pittsburgh Area Telugu Alliance (PATA) is a non-profit organization devoted to the awareness and promotion of Telugu culture in the Pittsburgh Area. PATA was formally registered in 1999 as a Non-profit organization.

PATA celebrates various Telugu festivals annually and encourages participation by members and well wishers at these events. PATA organizes celebrations for three festivals every year: Sankranti, Ugadi, Sports, donation/food drive camp, educational camps and hosts a picnic in summer. PATA Membership is open to any one interested in Telugu culture or literature. PATA also organizes special cultural events from time to time, performed by artists visiting from India.

PATA Executive Committee members are elected every two years during the Ugadi time, which is usually held in the month of March/April. PATA executive committee members conduct day-to-day operation of the organization.
